Sweet Boy Layout!

I completed this layout of my Matthew last night, I had been wanting to do a layout of him for some time, since I tend to focus on my girls a bit. I loved how this turned out, I used black acrylic paint, Close to My Heart White Daisy cardstock, Heidi Swapp Chipboard, red felt and less than half a piece of patterned paper, oh yes and 3 silver brads.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween! I just got back from the Halloween Parade at my kids school, very cute I saw some adorable costumes, a ton of princesses of course, and some scary costumes - you know the type blood and gore, usually the 5th and 6th grade boys. My son (Matthew) was fussing all last night because he had misplaced his white makeup - he was going to be some type of evil warlock thing. Well guess what I get to school and he is just wearing the gown, no makeup or mask, GRRRRR, I wanted to strangle him lol. My daughter Maddy was content to go as a skater, yup she put on jeans, t-shirt, hat and walked around with a skateboard, oddly this isn't that different than her usual choice of attire - she was as happy as a little clam. I guess I should be thankful that they picked easy costumes this year. My little one (Abby) is going to be a giraffe, not my first choice, but my aunt brought the costume over (A big Thanks to her) and why not at 1 year and 2 months I don't think she really cares lol. Well shortly it will be time to go Tricker Treating, although I got off easy this year, both my kids begged me to go with friends, since I know both sets of parents I said sure. Yippy , I get to be the chauffeur to each location . . . Well for all you lucky parents who will be hitting the town with your darlings, have a great time, be Safe and don't forget to take tons and tons of pictures.

Happy Monday to me and all of you! i have been scrapping all morning, not my personal pages, pages for ebay. The hardest thing I am finding about scrapbooking and selling my work on ebay and personal scrapbooking is that the styles are totally different. As you can see from the layout I did this past weekend, I am going to a more simplified style, with total emphasis on the pic. I wanted to do the title in big chipboard letters, but it felt like it was overpowering the pictures. Then on the other hand you have my ebay layouts they are totally overblown, here is the picture of one I am currently selling. See what i mean, I have to say the one of Abby I posted above has to be my personal favorite to date.

The time has come to start blogging . . .

Hello to all my scrap addicted friends, the time has come for me to start blogging, it has been slowly building up - Should I? Shouldn't I? Well I did. So if you have read this far then you are still interested in my ramblings. Well today has been a fairly mellow day, I finished a fall layout for my darling little Abby, my cute sweet, adorable, darling, a bit temperamental 1 year old. Yes for being such an avid scrapper I don't have nearly as much done as I would like, but who among us does? If you are one of those intrepid scrappers that is completely up to date, then you are absolutely never allowed to read this blog again. I am just kidding everyone is welcome even if you are a scrapbook over achiever! So here is today's layout, my little Abby strolling along.
